Color is one element that can define your business. Blue is a calming and comfortable color that instills trustworthiness. Red is an emotionally intense color that speeds your breath and heartbeat. It’s not too late to consider the characteristics of color and your business, even if you already have a corporate logo. Companies constantly re-invent themselves to keep their image fresh, and color changes are one way to do this.

  • Consider taking your existing logo and updating its shade.
  • Think about a new background for that summer brochure you plan to produce.
  • Change color elements on your Website to express a brand-appropriate message

A Few Color Tips:

  1. Red can represent vigor, speed, threat and sex. It’s the color your eye perceives the quickest, although it is very difficult to read online if your background is white.
  2. Blue connotes reliability and confidence; lighter blues are cool, deeper blues are warm without the heat of red.
  3. Yellow is liked by young people because it’s warm and kind.
  4. Orange is a hot color like red, but without the aggressive undertones; it lends an air of fun and creativity.
  5. Green is associated with organic and natural things, but not a good color for most foods.
  6. White is pure and simple. It’s sanitary and associated with illumination.
  7. Black is empty, an open palette like white, but with a reserved air to it. It is also a strong color that can accentuate other colors that appear with it. It’s particularly sophisticated when combined with gold, and can be quite elegant.
